The date of receiving the status of admission from participating NLUs will be 1st July 2017 instead of 4th July 2017 and date of closure of admission process by CLAT 2017 Office will be 1st July 2017 instead of 6th July 2017. Accordingly vacancies for UG and PG courses, if any, in any NLU, the waitlisted candidates who have written CLAT 2017 are directed to visit the website of the respective NLUs to know the further admission process.

Notice Regarding Age Relaxation for the Under-Graduate Course in CLAT-2017

In its order dated 03/03/2017 in the Writ Petition (Civil) No. 1023/2016, the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India has put a stay on the Notification No. BCI: D : 1519 (LE: Cir.-6) of the Bar Council of India dated 17th September, 2016 and all consequential actions taken in pursuance thereof pending decision of the aforesaid writ petition.

In the light of the aforesaid stay order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, students who are above 20 Years of age in case of UR/NRI/NRI Sponsored category and above 22 Years of age in case of SC/ST/OBC/SAP category as on 1st July 2017 are also eligible to apply for the Under-Graduate Courses in CLAT-2017. However, the candidature and admission of such applicants shall be subject to the final decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the aforesaid matter which is listed for final hearing in the third week of July, 2017.
